14 and Counting

Yesterday was the 14 anniversary of the day that Dave and I were sealed for all time and eternity. I met Dave at Ricks College (now BYU-I). We had a 7 am economics class together and in the same student ward. One Friday Dave skipped class because he had been up all night playing Pinochle with his roommates. The following Sunday as I was heading to Sunday School we ran into each other. Dave asked if we were in the same economics class together, I said yes, and then he asked if he could stop by my place to grab the homework that was assigned. He showed up at my apartment after church and stayed for 2 hours talking about a girl who had just dumped him. Finally he left to go to dinner with his FHE sister who were in the apartment above mine. After his dinner he stopped back by and stayed for another 3 hours talking about the same girl who dumped him! Well, to make a long story short...13 days later we were engaged after he proposed at Burger King (another long story for a later time!) Six months later at the Salt Lake Temple we were the 47th wedding of the day at 11:30 in the morning. I am so grateful that I found and married my best friend. Who would have thought that a city girls from the suburbs of Kansas City, MO and a farm boy from Moses Lake, WA would ever meet. Happy Anniversary Honey!

Hey, I remember that story. I've told your story to friends along the way. Ricks College romance. The good old days. Good to see you are doing well.
